Ensign Sue must die!
von mr_werns am 22. Jul. 2010, unter News
While I’m planing some big Updates for the coming weekend dealing with the puzzles of the missing chapters and some minor story changes, I’m searching for people who can help us to visualize all the required backgrounds and scenes. Meanwhile I’ve beeing amused by a delicious comic with the significant title “Ensign Sue must die!”
Pot Luck Comics has already released the 16th episode and I’m really curious about how the story will go on. Dealing with the “new” Abrams-Trek, the crew of the Enterprise fights a Ensign, no men has … considered she might be possible before
But see for yourself – have fun

Star Trek Pixel Art

This reminds of Judgement Rites or 25th Anniversary
John Martz presents interesting pixel-versions of popular Star-Trek-Characters from TNG and TOS on his Blog. Unfortunatly there is no ENT (yet), but hey – perhaps the question if we use 2D- or 3D-Characters within Origins has allready been answered and we’re going “full retro” !
The charm is definitely hard to beat

StarTrek.com relaunched
von mr_werns am 15. Jul. 2010, unter News
A long time it was announced – now it is time. StarTrek.com starts with a new website.
I like the new layout is much more clear than the old one and that the page is no more devided into such small sections. Indeed everything is under a dominant “BETA” (who knows what bugs we may finde
), but I think the step to simplicity was the right one.

Some of you may have already mentioned it – Since some days there are two small flags in the upper right corner.
Slowly but surly the whole Site will be available in german and english, so other than only germans can participate.
The game itself shall be release in both languages, too, so why should we hesitate?

How much Trek we already have…
von mr_werns am 04. Jul. 2010, unter News
Today a little bit OffTopic, even if I devote myself right back to the sixth chapter;)
But first I want to write about a few things that have moved me in recent days – in addition to the World Cup, which fits with its positive world view, too, as Roddenberry would have liked.
I am not the stereotype Star Trek fan who goes in disguise to conventions and speaks Klingon better than English;) but I’m a fan. The potential of a future with no more poverty, people are anxious to bring themself and the rest of the world some steps further, in times of austerity and increasing political apathy is a silver lining on the horizon, but is dismissed by many as utopian, too.
However, if you once take a look which of these “utopian” visions already exist and which paths are already walked on, then I have hope that things can come out differently than they look like. Some of these developments, I would now like to summarize once.
